How do i get my tyres to you
We arrange collection and delivery of tyres at your cost, this is usually around $30-$40 per set of 4 tyres within Auckland. Please call if you live out of Auckland are after Inks
What size can you print
We can print from a minimum of 13″ (330mm) diameter to a maximum of 33″ (850mm) in diameter
Maximum tyre thickness
Maximum Tyre width is 350mm – with no minimum
What is the Durability of the tyre Ink
The Print is a “Permanent” print. The paints have been designed to last the life of the tyre, however factors such as UV exposure, weather, temperatures, tyre pressure maintenance and use of the tyre will affect the lifespan of the tyre
How Long Does the Process Take
Normally takes 2 days to Ink your tyres. This accounts for the cleaning, Inking and curing process prior to the return of your tyres. If design work is required this may take an extra day
Do you Buff or Grind the Tyre Sidewall
No. We do not buff, grind, cut or modify the structural sidewall. Buffing and Grinding would render the tyre illegal for road use and may affect the performance and safety of your tyre
Tyre Pressure
It is important to maintain the Tyre manufactures specified air pressure. Incorrect tyre pressures will cause cracking to the Ink and will void warranty
Can I wash my tyres
Yes. Please use a soft brush and wash with a Neutral or Alkali soap. Please do not use solvent based washing agents or washing detergents which contain a compound/abrasive agent, this will cause the colours to fade. In addition, solvent based tyre waxes will also adversely affect the printed surface
Can You Print over existing paint from a previous Whitewall
We could, however there is no guarantee that our paints are compatible with the existing paint. It would be far better to remove the old whitewall prior to printing your tyres
Can you Ink Old Tyres Or do they have to be Brand New Tyres
We can print any tyres, however, new tyres will have better results. Tyres must be free of damage and surface imperfections
What are Nubbings on Tyres
The only thing we remove from the tyre is the “nubbings” (“spew”) which are those tiny rubber hairs on most new tyres. These are NOT structural and do not affect safety, or performance of your tyres.
Do I Need to Take the Tyres Off My rims
No. We can Ink tyres on or off the rim. If you are buying NEW tyres, we prefer them to be sent to us prior to fitting to the rims.
Do You Need My Car
No. We have no tyre/wheel removing facilities nor do we have storage facilities.
Are you a Mobile Service
No. We are not a mobile service.
Can i drop off my tyres to you
This can be arranged, please call 021 145 1135
Can you print on Motorbike tyres
Yes. We can Ink on Motorcycle, Scooters, Car, Truck, SUV, 4×4, Bicycles etc
Do I get Warranty with My Inked tyres
We offer a 6 month warranty on paint and workmanship. We will repair, replace or remove any faulty product, and may provide a pro-rata refund of the printing cost. Warranty does not include damage to the prints by kerbing, impact, use, misuse, browning, wear, incorrect tyre pressure or other external means. Racing, Drifting, Drag Racing and Burnouts may void warranty
What is Browning
Tyres contain Oils, Waxes, (Etc) and other chemicals. We have no control over what contaminates manufacturer use in their tyres. These substances may bleed through the print causing “browning” to occur. Ink it tyres will make every attempt to remove the superficial oils, waxes and contamination prior to printing and our primer helps stop the bleed. However should browning occur we will not be responsible
How Much Does it Cost To Whitewall My Tyres
Prices start at $280 for a basic single colour print of four tyres (4 sidewalls). Complex designs may attract an design fee
Can I Remove the Tyre Ink
You will need to return the tyre(s) to Ink it tyres for removal. There is a charge to remove (if not covered by our warranty). There may be residual paint in the confined areas of the tyre 13″
